Expert Answers for Your Project

Common technical questions about Ecoplast composite technology.

Does Ecoplast decking get too hot in the sun? +
Our non-capped, brushed finish is designed to dissipate heat more effectively than traditional capped PVC decking. While all surfaces absorb heat, our lighter colors like Dune are specifically engineered for high-sun exposure areas to remain comfortable for bare feet.
How does it react to Canadian winters? +
Ecoplast is climate-engineered. Our high-density HDPE matrix has a lower expansion/contraction rate than standard composites. It is tested for -40°C cycles, ensuring that your boards won't crack, warp, or become brittle during the brutal freeze-thaw cycles of the North.
Is it slippery when wet? +
Safety is our priority. With a certified Slip Resistance rating of 66.3 COF, our boards provide superior grip in both wet and dry conditions. This makes Ecoplast the ideal choice for pool surrounds and staircases where safety is non-negotiable.
What is the "Non-Capped" advantage? +
Traditional "capped" boards use a plastic shell that can delaminate or trap moisture. Ecoplast uses a homogeneous high-density matrix. This means the color and protection go all the way through the board, preventing peeling and allowing the material to "breathe" naturally while resisting stains.
